Mashed Potatoes

We tried again to feed Elijah mashed potatoes.

He eats it, makes this "these are yucky" face, then opens his mouth for more. Here's the video of it.

At the end of the video, it looks as if he is thinking, "hey. What are you doing? Are you filming this? You wanna piece of me?"

In other big Elijah news... Daddy spotted a tooth bud this last week! Poor Elijah is teething. Friday he was having a hard time with it I think. I can only hope he gets most of his teeth while his gums are still soft.

Firehouse Rocks

We had a great family outing to the firehouse on Saturday. There were a lot of people there, and some people from our church too. We got in the pancake line right away, and some firemen came by to say hello to everyone and Elijah got a Junior Deputy sticker. Once we got a little closer, we could see inside the small firehouse, which does not have a pole. While we were waiting, the firemen got a call, so they had to take the big firetruck away. Elijah and I moved into the line to get him hat, and they had plenty of stuff for older children to do (i.e.- learn how to call 911). Once we got his hat, we waited in a short line to take his picture inside a firetruck. It was a fun activity for the family to do.

We also spent sometime on the back patio, since it was such a hot day.

Can't Sit Still

Oh, we gave Elijah a taste of mashed potatoes the other night during dinner. The look on his face was priceless, and naturally it wasn't captured on film. Maybe he'll change his mind by Thanksgiving. :)

7 Months Old

Yesterday Elijah turned 7 months old. Spent the morning playing at Mom To Mom, then spent the rest of the day wanting to be held by mom. He continues to eat well, tonight we'll introduce squash.

Tomorrow we're taking Elijah to the fire station.

Sweet Potatoes

Elijah has moved onto food! He had sweet potatoes on Friday night, and we've been giving him prunes too. I also bought pears and squash for him to eat.

We didn't make it to the pool party this weekend, there was just too much to do. But we're trying to set up a swim date with Trista soon. We may just end up going as a family.
