Getting Close

Elijah is getting very close to crawling, he gets up on his hands and knees and rocks. He loves rolling around to reach his toys, or to touch whatever has caught his eye. He received a birthday party invite for this Saturday, and it's a pool party. This will be his first time going to the pool. I'm nervous and excited, hoping that he'll love it. If he does, we'll definitely go swimming again. That may also further encourage us to sign up for parent and tot swim classes.

We have a toy attached to his crib which he plays with when he wakes up in the morning, or wakes from a nap. It's great because he can amuse himself for a few minutes, and we can get a bottle ready. Elijah really is a remarkable little boy, and everyday we marvel at how we ever lived without him in our lives.

Sorry, no recent pictures, we've been busy packing, but I'll work on fixing that.

Mmmm, Oatmeal

6 Months Old

Elijah had his 6 month check up today. He's still doing well. He weighs 15 lbs 4 oz, and he's still tall at 27 inches long. He hated getting is 4 shots today but calmed down by the time we got to the front desk, and he promptly fell asleep. He's in a playful mood right now, but I am hoping he'll have a nice nap this afternoon so I can too.

He is back to sleeping through the night, going to bed around 8:30, waking anywhere between 6:30 and 7:30am.
